Come and join us for this restorative & creative retreat here at Moor Farm. Surround yourself with rolling fields, wide open beaches and breathe in the beauty of the Island.

Amy, from Moor Farm and Kelly, from the Jewellery Cabin, have come together to create this weekend because they feel it is so needed.

‘We were chatting in the sea one evening and realised we’d both love to make a creative space and experience for people to create new moments and memories. Everything that we have collected together for this weekend, comes from this idea. We live in a naturally beautiful part of the world so we feel there’s no better place or time for you to come away and be part of this.
We know that through making, creating and using your hands you can connect with others and re-centre in a way that we all need and haven’t felt for a while.’

You will lose yourself in our jewellery & mobile making workshops, meet new people, relax, laugh and feel restored. Most of all, we want you to enjoy these MOMENTS.

We have partnered up with some of the finest artists and makers to make this weekend really special.
Let us start with the making and creating:

MAKE & CREATE

You will be a part of three workshops throughout the weekend; a jewellery workshop, a mobile making workshop and an aromatherapy session where you will make your own signature scent. Let’s explore what is involved :

Jewellery Workshop

The Jewellery Cabin is a beautiful jewellery teaching studio just a few miles away from Moor Farm. This time of making will be run by the friendly, warm and talented silversmith Kelly Fenton. Kelly has been making and teaching jewellery for over 15 years and is the co-founder of the Jewellery Cabin.

At the cabin you will create and make a silver bangle or a set of stacking rings. The session is 4 hours long, with a delicious lunch break included in this time.
Having immersed yourself in this wonderful experience, you will leave with a unique item of handmade jewellery and memories that will last for years to come.

Mobile Workshop

Claire is a South Coast based artist exploring the uplifting power of movement and colour and how they can influence our moods and emotions through textiles, collage and mobile sculpture.

During the 3 hour workshop you will design and make your own abstract mobile. Claire will teach you the basics of balance, composition and techniques to enable you to make a beautiful moving piece of art for your home. We will be taking some time for some deep restorative breaths with aromatherapy oils at the start of the making session. Your mobile will be a visual reminder of that feeling and prompt to bring a sense of calm to mind when you need it during day–to–day life.

Aromatherapy Workshop

On Saturday evening everyone staying at Moor Farm will come together for an aromatherapy session with Kathy from Natural Wellness to create your own signature scent.

Kathy teaches others how to use essential oils daily by weaving them into mini daily habits.

Aromatherapy is all about a connection to nature, using plants to help support our wellbeing. You will learn how to use scent to create more balance in life. Aroma bypasses the thinking brain and connects to memory and emotion. A great way to connect you with the ‘Moment’….

STAY

You will rest over the weekend at Moor Farm. The 3 converted barns that you will be staying in are secluded and peaceful. Our aim is that you will leave feeling relaxed and restored.
